Unlike many ocean trips the crew, guided by their professional skipper, will have full involvement in sailing their Sigma 38. They will see the ever-changing coastline, the stunning Cape Wrath, the beautiful west coast of Ireland, the challenging Irish Sea, dolphins of the Bristol Channel and the Seven Sisters. Priced at less than £1000 per week of brilliant sailing this is an adventure that just can't be missed!

In summer 2023, Premier Sailing is embarking on a voyage around the UK and the Emerald Isle, taking in all the sights and sounds of the UK, Ireland, as well as the famous Irish hospitality!

Just like our now established Round Britain cruise, this trip is split into a series of eight one-week legs, so you can join us for one, two, or even all eight. As with all of our cruises, no sailing experience is necessary to join us, as each leg is skippered by a fully qualified Yachtmaster instructor and, as with all Premier Sailing trips and courses, each leg is fully catered so there is no extra cost on board (unless you wish to invest in a drop of the ‘black stuff’ when ashore).

There are many reasons for joining us. Maybe you wish to get a taste of sailing on open water, or handling a larger vessel? Or you may simply wish to enjoy the adventure and stunning scenery that await. With night sails and open-water crossings, our cruises also serve as fantastic mile-building voyages for those working towards a Yachtmaster qualification, or simply need a refresher.

This is an opportunity not to be missed, so if you want to take part we would love for you to join us!

If you’re looking for a sailing holiday as a family or group of friends then we can help. The East Coast of England provides some of the best sailing available in the UK, coupled with the kindest that England can offer in the way of weather.
Our cruising area is particularly beautiful with saltmarsh and seal colonies to explore, the rolling hills of the rivers Stour and Orwell plus the challenge of the River Deben. There is lots to see and with prices starting at just £45 per person per day for a week’s sailing holiday in August, what could be better?
We have two types of vessel available for both bareboat and skippered charter. For smaller groups we have the Beneteau 35 and, for larger groups, we have the well respected Sigma 38 cruiser racer.
Located in the picturesque and renowned sailing centre of Burnham on Crouch, we are less than an hour from London’s Liverpool Street Station – there are no travel issues of getting to airports, queuing for passport control, transfers and the like which may be experienced for sailing holidays abroad. You can drive and park without cost in the marina car park and, if coming by train, we will collect you. Your comfortable vessel will be waiting for you with a full fuel tank and basic provisions (unless you give us a shopping list and then Sainsbury will deliver your order to the boat)! All the boats have three sleeping cabins and are coded for 6 or 9 people. Fully equipped for cruising and exceeding the standards normally associated with a charter vessel, these yachts can also take you across the Channel to France or Holland. If you decide to charter, particularly for a foreign trip, we recommend taking out specialist sailing travel insurance such as with Haven Knox Johnson.   . To view our vessels Click Here

If you want the relaxation of quiet anchorages and the company of seals, porpoises and avocet, then join us in exploring the wonderful Suffolk and Essex coastlines.  Fresh seafood can still be bought on the quaysides at West Mersea or Southwold – always a delight!

Sailing with Premier gives you the flexibility to enjoy exciting sea and river passages, quiet anchorages and lively ports in a relaxed and friendly way.

Check out some of the dates and destinations … we believe that there is something for everyone!

Following the overwhelming success of our previous eight trips, which raised over £50,000 for Charity and was enjoyed by many shipmates, we will once again in 2025 take to the seas around our coastline for the trip of a lifetime.

Most of us will come into contact with friends or family that have a life limiting illness such as cancer at some time in our lives and Macmillan and hospices, as many of us know, are there to help and support both the patient and their family. It is our personal experience of the superb care and support provided by Macmillan and the hospice movement that has lead us to run these trips. Our yachts will visit many marinas and most, including Royal Quays, Rhu, Bangor and Whitehills, will donate the mooring fees to the charities. If you wish to support our crews on their voyage, and help these charities continue their vital work with those affected by cancer, please follow these links to their justgiving page:
