Exploring the 'Magic of the Swatchways'

Fully booked - please contact for availability on 01621 744902

Explore the longest and fastest changing coastline of any county in England.  From salt marshes to rolling hills, the Essex and Suffolk coastlines boast a myriad of creeks and rivers to explore. There are lovely watering holes at Walderingfield and Pinmill, the historic town of Maldon with its plethora of Thames barges, and much wildlife to see on this five day cruise.

Joining your vessel the evening before depature you will meet the other crew members and discuss your route with the skipper. The next morning you will take the tide out of the river Crouch and begin the adventure of exploring the 'Magic of the Swatchways'.

To get a flavour of our wonderful sailing area and understand why, once visited, many sailors never leave, you can immerse yourself in this wonderful book.

'The Magic of the Swatchways was Maurice Griffiths' favourite book. In the words of John Leather, "few sailing books become classics like this one", and since first publication in 1932 it has lost none of that fresh charm which has endeared it to so many generations of sailing'.
