Monster hunting in Loch Ness

1 minute read

Today is the day our crews venture into one of the most famous (or infamous?) bodies of water in the world: Loch Ness. There are stories abound regarding Nessie, the Loch Ness monster, as well as numerous sightings of this legendary creature, but will we see any sign of her on our journey across the loch?

Rafting up for lunch on Loch Ness.

Loch Ness is huge, so our crews decided to raft up for a spot of lunch, as well as a bit of monster spotting, before continuing westward toward the marina at Fort Augustus and their overnight berths.

You can follow the progress of the cruise in real-time on the map below. We have set the map to follow Monet automatically, but you can use the search tool to find Galliver II or Florence Agnes II if you wish.

If you wish to support our crews on their voyage, and help Macmillan Cancer Support continue their vital work with those affected by cancer, please follow this link to our justgiving page:
